How many of us are nervous behind in front of a camera? Now could you imagine how nervous you would be if there was a crowd watching you? Or strangers walking in and out while you're trying to be natural and comfortable? I don't expect you to do that in my studio in Charleston, SC.
My studio is small and personal. I love it that way. The only ones in the studio at one time is your family, myself, and my studio manager. If you have a dog or a child, you don't have to worry about them feeling rushed or uncertain of their surroundings. I book my sessions and appointments so they don't overlap and there is plenty of time for your family to warm up to the studio. You can walk freely around as you please and you can relax into a natural setting. . . that's how the best portraits are made!
This little girl is younger and didn't want to be in front of the camera. Most young children go through a phase where they "hate the camera" and that is perfectly fine! Patience is the #1 key in my studio. That goes for dogs, families, and especially children. I've done this long enough to know that children aren't always perfectly posed and they aren't always in a good mood. A little patience, bribing, and calm environment goes so far! We were able to capture so many beautiful portraits of this perfect little girl. You could never tell she wanted to leave the moment she came in!
