Model of the Month is a heartfelt endeavor, curated with love by Maria, the dedicated artist and proprietor of Castelo Portrait Art. Each month, it stands as a pinnacle of her passion and creativity. Maria meticulously handpicks every detail, from the exquisite attire tailored by her skilled seamstress or a special purchase to the captivating backdrop and theme, along with carefully chosen props. She pours her soul into every aspect, often scouring antique shops to find the perfect pieces, ensuring a seamless and enchanting experience from start to finish.

Held typically on Monday afternoons, though occasionally varying, the session begins with your child's attire prepared  and ready upon arrival. Then, Maria orchestrates the transformation, providing hair and makeup, tailoring her approach to suit each child's gender and age. Together, they embark on a journey to capture the essence of beauty and innocence, striving for nothing short of perfection in each portrait.

Following the session, you are graciously invited into the projection and sales room, where you can witness the magic unfold before your eyes. Here, amidst a gallery of captivating images, you have the opportunity to select and order your portraits, each one a testament to Maria's unwavering dedication and artistry.

While Model of the Month shines brightly as a feature on the website, its significance extends far beyond mere digital recognition. These extraordinary portraits serve as Maria's pride and joy, not only gracing competitions and publications but also encapsulating the timeless essence of childhood for generations to come.

Please understand that these sessions are not offered as a courtesy; they are a labor of love, requiring extensive time, meticulous preparation, and the procurement of bespoke elements such as clothing and props. Should your child be chosen for this extraordinary opportunity, a session retainer fee of $350 will be required. Rest assured, every cent of this retainer contributes directly to your session, ensuring an experience that surpasses expectations. Additionally, there is a minimum order requirement of $1500, guaranteeing that the resulting portraits are nothing short of extraordinary. Your $350 investment will go towards your final order.
