I hear this very often. . . My pup won't behave!!!!
My response? That's fine. They don't have to. Dogs are much like children in that way! They don't want to sit still. Food works - sometimes! Bright light? Sometimes that can be scary! It isn't the end of the world. I promise, while it may be stressful for you and you think it's a big deal, I'm not stressed in the least bit. I'm smiling, I'm happy, and I'm capturing the perfect portrait. It's there! I don't let you leave without it. Whether you have a puppy or an elderly dog in Charleston, SC . . . I get the perfect shot every time! A lot of people think quantity over quality when it comes to a session. Sure, I guess having a million photographs is awesome. I'm focusing on getting that perfect painting, though! The one that tugs at your heart strings. The one that really captures the glimmer in their eye. The one that isn't just like the others. I have plenty of tricks and treats up my sleeve, but most importantly of all, I have patience. I have help in the studio from my studio manager (who wants nothing more than to give your dogs all the pets!) and she has patience too. We have the understanding that this is a new place. We're asking a lot of your pup and we take all of that into consideration. Check out THIS BLOG to see how I get multiple dogs in the perfect painting!
