If you can think back to your childhood then you know that Christmas was the most magical time of the year. Baking cookies, wrapping up in warm clothes and looking for Christmas lights. . . all while believing in Santa. There is such an innocence that we try to protect when it comes to Santa. We often talk about "keeping the magic alive" and "preserving Santa and believing for as long as possible" when we talk about our own children! It's such a short time we get where our children believe in magic and that ANYTHING is truly possible. While we're young we have such a beautiful outlook on life and how it works. We truly believe Santa gives us the gift we've been dreaming of all year long and that he is a man who lives off cookies alone! Magical reindeer that fly through the air effortlessly and know exactly where to go to bring all the good little boys and girls gifts. I would give anything to have such a creative and innocent little brain like that!
I love creating special pieces of art for families of Charleston, SC for Christmas capturing just that. The smiles, the laughter, the pure joy of Christmas. A Charleston Santa Experience is so much fun and we always have the best time but sometimes I'm asked about imagination sessions and that is also just as much fun! Using composite work I can create anything and that includes the wonder of Christmas right in the studio without Santa!
There's so many opportunities to see Santa in the Lowcountry! Whether you want an event to see Santa at like the 26th Annual Christmas Light Parade in Mount Pleasant or at the Charleston Christmas Parade. . . There's no shortage of Santa's helpers around Charleston! You can also choose to go to the Tanger Outlets or even to the Holiday Festival of Lights to just see and get a quick snapshot with Santa! I personally love spending time with my family searching for Santa in Charleston, SC and experiencing all the beautiful history of Charleston at the same time. One of my favorite places to go is the Candlelit Tour at Drayton Hall. It's cozy and just plain gorgeous. Lit up for Christmas with all the lights and decor is mesmerizing and breath taking to see! 2021 is going to be a breath of fresh air as life is starting to get back to normal and we can finally enjoy the Christmas festivities again!
