When you look at my work, I like to think your first thought is how amazing it is. No matter what type of session I have, I pour my heart into it and I love working with women, couples, men, dogs, and everything in between. Creating art is what I love and capturing hobbies, powerful stances, and even goofiness is what I appreciate.
What I love most to capture is children. You can visually see sometimes the difference in my work because children really do pull at my heartstrings. They're fun, they're honest, and they have such a curiosity about them at all times. Their biggest worry is the next game they're going to play or what sleepover they have next. I wish I could have the same mindset as young children and to be carefree again!
When thinking of booking a session for siblings - I always love for everyone to think of ages. Capturing young children is so much fun. The perfect ages to capture siblings is when both are between the ages 5-12. They're old enough to take direction well and still young enough that they aren't self conscious of the camera yet! They can laugh and giggle without thinking, ask funny questions, and just be themselves. They world has tainted them yet in making them feel like they have to be someone else.
Take a look below at Scarlett and Leo. Scarlett is 6 and Leo is 10. They love each other so much and it was an absolute blast to have them in the studio. They asked me so many questions about myself, the studio, and you could really see how much they love being brother and sister. They have a bond they will never have with anyone else. They will always have each other no matter what! It's always fun to have siblings in the studio and seeing them interact and bounce comments, ideas, and jokes off each other. They came dressed absolutely perfectly with the right colour harmony to be placed together but also be photographed beautifully separately. This is something I like to talk to my clients about quite often because it really is stunning to see the portrait of them. We were able to bring in neutral props that really popped against the backdrop and clothing they decided on as well.
Do you want to capture your kiddos with a sibling session? I love family photography, child photography, animal photography (yes! that includes photography of dogs AND cats!), beach photography, and downtown photography! We venture to Kiawah, Folly Beach, downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, West Ashley and surrounding areas of Charleston, SC. We have clients come from all over South Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and sometimes even further! It's always a honor to work with a family or individual ! I would love to work with yours!
