December 2nd - 8th is Fur Baby week at our studio and you are probably wondering - would my dogs behave? They don't have to! Read on!
Some of my favorite portraits have been of furry friends: Dogs are amazing - so loyal - with the sweetest faces, biggest personalities, and filled from their heads to their paws with unconditional love for their people. It's no wonder that animal lovers ooh and ahh over formal portraits of their pets. But I work with many pet owners who would have their pets photographed in a heartbeat if only they thought they'd sit still for long enough to have something like this portrait created!
Animals, like children, are not always the most cooperative in a photo studio. But it's actually a process and easier than you might think to get a perfect portrait of your pet. How do I do it? Well, I'm not an animal whisperer (now the truth is out!), but I do have a trick or two up my sleeve. I photograph each pet one at a time, capturing that sweet face and personality one on one so they're not distracted. Then, after I've gotten great images of each pet, I put the photos together to make a perfect, polished portrait of your pets all together and finish it off immaculately. No one would ever know that your best friends weren't politely sitting side by side, looking right into the camera lens. Would they?
Whether you've got a full-breed show dog or a sweet rescue mutt, I promise to show your pets in the best light, capture their personalities in a way that only a true artist can, and send you off with a formal portrait that lets everyone who walks into your home see that your pets are an important part of your family and your life.

I always hear people tell me - my dogs would NEVER behave like those dogs! Truth is, they don't have to! I got it!
