The First Holy Communion is such a pivotal part of a child's life and an incredibly special moment to capture. If you are Catholic you understand the importance of this once in a lifetime event. We love creating portraits and paintings of this amazing accomplishment and family celebration! Meet Lilly Kate - she has the most beautiful angelic face and a gorgeous dress too. We would love to help you capture your son or daughters Holy Communion Portraits!

There are some beautiful Catholic churches in Charleston, SC! St. Patrick Catholic Church, Saint Joseph Catholic Church, & Sacred Heart Catholic Church are all very welcoming and warm environments! The first communion is usually the third of seven sacraments received and is a big event for children! It's a moment they will never forget and is a celebratory event! I'm a big believer in commemorating the event since I I am also Catholic . . . it's a fantastic age for portraiture since it usually happens around the ages of 7 and thirteen. Children are starting to grow up and they're starting to learn more of the world and who makes them "them." It's a fleeting time and it's a time to capture your children before they're too grown up! You want to capture those first moments of them wearing their special dresses, having the beautiful rosaries or prayer books, and having their hair done for the occasion. It's a time to be remembered - the First Holy Communion is special.
