Do you want to know what one of my favorite things is about children? Their imaginations. You don't see many adults pretending that there is a new world in their bedrooms and can play with army men and create a whole story of war on the dining room table! Talking with children is like going on a magical journey of a brand new world that THEY created. The world hasn't destroyed that, yet. Once they get too old, they no longer believe in wizards, mermaids, or magic. It's all matter of fact and they start having the worries that wouldn't have meant a thing to them when they were younger. They aren't affected by peer pressure or standards yet. They're an open book, eager to learn, and so full of curiosity.
Meet Brandon who is 4!
This sweet boy came to visit my studio in Charleston, SC and was the sweetest little boy in the entire world. I mean, just look at that face! Working with him was a dream and I love that he loves airplanes! I can't fit an airplane into my studio so we made due with his adorable outfit and put in a plane later ;) I love creating beautiful pieces of art for my clients and this was an amazing project for me to work on. Not only is the family just amazing, but this portrait is one of a kind! It's the piece someone sees and their breath just stops for a second. It's an elegant piece and at simultaneously also captures his curious smile and eyes.
"Castelo Portrait Art does amazing photography! Our son Brandon has autism. It's hard to find a photographer that's willing to work with special needs children, but even harder for one to be so patient & loving with your child. Maria kept the studio calm and quiet and took her time with my son. She was able to get amazing shots of him and give us portraits we could only dream of. If your looking for a caring photographer who is great with children & special needs children then make an appointment with her. She is a good hearted woman and you will get amazing photos that you will treasure for a lifetime."
