“A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”
- Cardinal Mermillod
Being a mother is one of the toughest and most rewarding jobs I've ever had. I've lived a pretty eventful life! Full of great highs and pretty deep lows. . . But one thing I can say that has truly made me the best version of me is my kids. They force us to want us to be the best we can for them. After all, they didn't ask to be here. Us moms brought them into this world and in my mind, it is my job to be there and support my kids to the best of my ability! They mean the world to me. I have two kiddos and they couldn't be more different than each other! Isn't that amazing? How two people can share the same DNA but are complete opposites. I love looking back and seeing the different stages of their lives. . . From the moment they lost their first tooth, to experiencing Santa, to getting their driver's license, to even joining the military (for one of them!) and the first day of college. I've been extremely blessed with two amazing children and being able to be there for the major milestones of their lives! I wish I would have captured more. I wish I could have documented more of those fast years. I can say that confidently as they're both out of the home now! They're on their own path and they're doing an amazing job at being adults! Don't skip out on capturing those moments! Don't wait to "lose a couple of pounds" or "we'll just do it when I feel like I look better"! Believe me, you are the last person you're looking at when you look back on those memories! Your children are only getting bigger and before you know it; they'll be out on their own!
