How do you make dad feel important? It's not often we're putting the dads first even though they do so much for us! We came up with 5 reasons why a portrait session means so much to the important man in your life this Father's Day in Charleston, SC!
1) He won't do it for himself!
Most men don't know what they want! It's so hard to shop for him! He's already got a tie in every color, every tool in the shed, and all the other knick knacks you can think of! This is DIFFERENT, special, and won't be another thing that collects dust on the shelf!
2) It'll give him a glimpse of how the kids look at and appreciate him!
You know that old saying? "I wish you could see yourself through my eyes." This is exactly that! You're capturing how the kids eyes light up when they look at dad. You're capturing that dimple they both have. . . it's truly mesmerizing to see how you capture love and emotion through a photograph!
3) When's the last time you took the focus off of the kids and had a painting together . . . just the two of you!
Talking about capturing love and emotion . . . when's the last time you made it about just you two? Not only do I capture the family but I also capture the two of you by yourselves. Your love created the family - that's important and deserves it's space too!
4) You're celebrating him!
When's the last time you made it all about him? This is celebrating him as a dad. The strong man who protects his family! It's a big job - let him feel so spoiled in that role!
5) Most men don't enjoy this kind of stuff. . . but they always LOVE the final product!
We get it! Men hate getting behind the camera. Been there . . . dealt with that! You want to know something funny though? No man has ever been disappointed seeing the final product. They love all the photographs and the love displaying them in the home. They smile and sometimes even tear up looking at them!
Dads. . .
DADS. . .
Dads are AWESOME! So many times you see dad as the provider and the man who protects the family! You marry someone who you want your children to look up to, protect your heart, and be a good family man. That is more often than not, exactly what happens. You have children and the strong man you once knew turns into a blob of love and softness for the children. He loves them. He protects them. He teaches them. He provides for them. He is such a pivotal part of the family life and that in itself is such an accomplishment to be celebrated! He can be goofy and funny but he's also such a strong figure into shaping your precious family and what better way to say "Happy Father's Day" than to gift him with a painting of him and his children capturing just that? A strong father. The head of the household. Something he can display proudly and see how the kids look at him and how they look up to him. You can't get that just anywhere. In Charleston, SC I love meeting so many dads who often hate being in front of the camera (Read our tips into talking them into a family portrait here!) but once we convince them, absolutely love seeing how much expression the children have and just how much you can feel the love that comes right out of the painting! Dads are important, too!
